DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Our design philosophy is to provide landscape solutions that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and sympathetic to its surroundings as well as sustainable.

Our goal in our designs is to understand and develop your needs and ideas to create a landscape that can be realized to reflect your lifestyle.

PLAN DESIGNING PROCESS

STEP 1 - Once you have received our quote and paid your deposit we can arrange a site visit to enable us to visualize the context of the site and its surrounding environment. At this point we discuss your ideas, budget, style and requirements, that is, the client brief. To provide an accurate representation of the landscape we require a site plan/survey to scale. However, if you don't have a plan we can assist with the preparation of a site plan/survey at an additional cost.

STEP 2 - The client brief & site context allows us to prepare concepts to present to you at our office for your comments and input. Once you have chosen your preferred concept we set task to further develop that concept and discuss plant selection and material choice in our next visit.

STEP 3 - Your Landscape Concept/Planting Plan are presented to you upon completion. Urban & Rural Design have a team of landscape contractors that can perform landscape works to ensure that your landscape reflects the concept developed. The plan that we provide you can be used to quoting purposes but is essentially conceptual rather than a construction document. It is suggested that we prepare working drawing and specifications if you prefer your selected contractor to perform the landscape works.

If Urban & Rural Design are engaged as landscapers we can prevent the hassles of getting the landscape certification for Council authorities free of charge for our Landscape Concept/Planting Plan.

Urban & Rural Design can also act as project managersto ensure that the landscape works are performed in accordance with the Landscape Concept/Planting Plan.
